Pinjore Gardens: A Historical and Cultural Paradise in Chandigarh

The last seventh terrace has an open-air theatre which was used for performances by artists during ancient times. The floor plan of the garden is similar to the Charbagh pattern, which is a landmark style of Mughal architecture. The garden was built by Fidai Khan, a foster-brother to the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Pinjore Garden Heritage Train

For a while I was transported back in time as I could visualise the dancers and singers entertaining the residents in the evenings. The Jal Mahal at the centre of a water pool is well lit.
